Why choose us?

At Regina Coeli Catholic Primary School Beverly Hills, we are committed to the development of the whole person. In preparing students for their future, we ignite each child’s passion to achieve: academically, spiritually, physically, creatively and emotionally.

We believe that all of our students have the capacity to positively contribute to our world. The shared sense of values and community between families, school and parish ensures respect for the individuality of every child as together we live our vision as expressed in our school motto, ‘Faith, Love and Learning’.

Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

Regina Coeli Catholic Primary School is a beautiful, community-minded school located in a quiet but centrally located part of Beverly Hills. We provide a high-quality, contemporary Catholic education catering for the diverse learning needs of all our students, and are committed to the development of each child: academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and emotionally. Our students and families share a wonderful sense of community, and it is our privilege to work in partnership with families to develop the faith of our children and to assist them in achieving their full potential.

We firmly believe in the importance of providing each child with foundational Literacy and Numeracy skills, but also recognise the importance of teaching 21st century learning skills: the ability to think creatively, to communicate effectively (including the use of digital technology), to problem solve, and to work collaboratively with others. The school has a positive nurturing learning environment that strives for excellence in all facets of education and fosters the self-confidence, self-worth, and integrity of each child. Our school is highly regarded by the local community.

The school proudly teaches Catholic values that enable students to develop into young people ready to make a positive contribution to our world. Our values are founded on those taught and lived by Jesus, and underpinned by our school motto ‘Faith, love and learning’.
Our school’s charism is inspired by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, whose Sisters established the school in 1947. Her motto ‘Never see a need without doing something about it’ is something we strive to enliven in the way we respond to the needs of others we encounter.
This year is the final year of a major capital works project at the school, providing our community with state of the art 21st century learning facilities. It is a very exciting time in the history of our school and we look forward to our brand new teaching and learning facilities.
I feel privileged to be in the role of principal at this stage in the history of Regina Coeli Catholic Primary School Beverly Hills.

I invite you to visit us and see our wonderful school for yourself. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your child, and hopefully have your family join our school community.

Principal

Regina Coeli Catholic Primary School Beverly Hills opened with an enrolment of 39 pupils in Kindergarten to Year 2 in 1947 by the Sisters of St Joseph.History

The life and personal witness of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, and her motto ‘Never see a need without doing something about it’, play an instrumental role in the school’s charism. The students live out this motto by finding ways that they can give of their time and resources to make a difference in the lives of others.

‘Regina Coeli’ is Latin for ‘Mary, Queen of Heaven’, so we celebrate her feast day each year on 22 August. Mary, the first disciple of Jesus, is also a significant person influencing the school’s ongoing charism and vision.

Our Vision
To empower each student to realise their full potential through living out the school’s motto ‘Faith, love and learning’.

Our Mission
Regina Coeli is committed to the development of the whole person – spiritual, academic, physical, social and emotional. We aim to prepare each child for their future lives, empowered to positively contribute to our world. The school is founded on Jesus Christ and enlivened by Gospel values.

The community of Regina Coeli is one of welcome and outreach, and the school enjoys a strong link with the local parish.

The school is also highly involved in supporting those in need in our local and wider community, and our families are enthusiastic to give back and work in partnership with various church charities, including the local branch of St Vincent de Paul Society.
